Harish-Chandra Research Institute has a residential campus which houses faculty, administrative staff, and their families. It is also a home to post-docs, students and visitors.

To maintain a conducive atmosphere on campus certain guidelines are necessary. HRI treats sexual harassment as an offence and it has specific guidelines to deal with it. It also has an Internal Complaints Committee/Women's Grievance Cell. For more information please see this link.

HRI also has zero tolerance policy towards substance abuse on campus.
